Career change to Financial Adviser

I’m wondering if anyone can give me advice regarding the above change of career?

I’ve just completed a Level 4 DipFA (Diploma for Financial Advisers) and was hoping to obtain employment as either a trainee financial adviser or paraplanner. I’m currently working in a sales based role and have been with the same company for 12 years.

Has anybody done similar? What did you do? Are there any firms that people recommend?

Apologies for the bombardment of questions...this is all new to me! I’d be grateful for any information.
