Evening guys

I’m looking at this Comp pack M3 from what looks like the used car arm of Listers. Does anyone know the car, or owner? I’m trying to see if someone knows of the car.

Reg no. AJ67 MUU

https://listers.co.uk/used/cars/bmw/m3/m3/304749

Any info appreciated
Cheers

J80 DRN was it's plate and it's a 1 owner car. I found this on google, after initially finding plate on a M235i.
There's a reference to Alive Tuning against the plate, though not necessarily the M3.
Been on sale since December, dropped around 1500.
I wonder if any modifications explain why it's not an AUC; if indeed Listers are AUC?
Also has it breached warranty, ad says 6 months but in reality it's 11 months of official warranty.

wow good investigation skills.

Its clearly been mapped as his insta shows it tagged as 530 horses. May not be mapped anymore though.

Now that is impressive!! Cheers!

I asked why it didn’t go on Lister BMW’s forecourt, and they just told me it’s because when it went in for a service, it flagged up that it didn’t have a CAT converter on it.

Also messaged the owner, and checked it out on his Instagram. Lovely looking car, but have too many doubts about it.

I would NOT touch that, It's been hammered and re-mapped. Good luck trusting that one. Many more out there with genuine FSH and Miles!!

If it doesn't have a CAT on it they shouldn't be selling it.

Another example where a more than likely financed car is used and abused and sent back with the warranty invalid for someone else to deal with the hassle.

The picture of the boot up close the paint looks awful. That's been painted. Often once a wrap comes off all sorts of marks and damage are found.

Run a mile from that one.

The dealer should be pointed out that the manufacturer's warranty is ruined in the advert.

As above the car was registered in January 2018 and the warranty should be until 2021.

I bet the dealer didn't know that when they bought the car.

I had a call from Listers this morning. They assured me that the warranty is indeed valid, and said once the remaining warranty lapses, it'd be £1300 per year to extend the warranty. The car is back to standard, so has the CAT back on it.

Not a betting man though, so I'll leave it to someone else

It doesn't matter that the car is back to standard. The previous remap will be found if a dealer has to check for one present.

Kudos to everyone who helped the OP with this. What a sharp contrast to some of the banality found elsewhere in the PH forums.

I lost faith in Listers some years ago, they sell anything at a higher price, remapped or not they don't care.
