Whats the furthest you have travelled for a days work?

I am off to Montreal this evening for a few hours work on Sunday at the GP and then fly home on Monday.

just wanted the opportunity to gloat! Enjoy your weekend. :wavey:

Drove Teesside to St. Austell in Cornwall and back after two hours on-site.

Drove T/S to Gloucester to change a fuse, and T/S to Worcester to reset a circuit breaker.

Once did a job in Denmark, stayed overnight then drove Denmark/Germany/Holland/Belgium/France/Channel Tunnel/Leicester with two pee-stops, and have done Dounreay to T/Side and Gosport to T/Side non-stop...

Otherwise, most pointless trip would have to be T/Side to Baton Rouge in Louisiana for a 1.5 day 'training course' to satisfy one customer that we could do what we said we could...

Out on the Tuesday, work Wednesday morning, fly
back Wednesday afternoon. But only because I was
a 2@, overslept and missed the flight out on Monday.

Peterborough to Ebbw Vale to photograph one site (approx 5 minutes) 3 wasted bloody journeys as the poxy valleys always have weather far worse than anywhere else in the western world.

770 miles - Manchester - Lockerbie - Tunbridge Wells - Manchester. Took 21 hours and the 2 jobs took about half an hour each! Those were the days!

Dallas -> Gatwick -> Amsterdam -> Memphis -> Dallas for a 5 hour meeting... No sleep

What about using the budget airlines for these internal flights. They start to ply to Exeter from Leeds this month, thought I might give that a go next time I get the call to go to Exeter.

I keep suggesting that the company should get me through my private pilot's licence and then I could get everywhere so much quicker!

East Grinstead > Glasgow exibition centre, unload some boxes (10 mins) then home again. Walked away with nearly 1k miles on the van and 500 smackers.

Very happy.

I've been to Dubai & back for a meeting before. One of my colleagues was flown 1st class from London to Sydney & back to attend a 2 hour meeting.

Hong Kong to London and back the same day......

two days in a row.

Anything under 15 hours is a piece of pee pee but Hong Kong to Rio......oh my god. 29hours of travel and end up in such a sweet place mentally unstable and shattered..... not nice.

Well, ive only went from teeside to London and back for ten mins work,(well it was more like fifteen)but my previous job used to take me abraod but that was for weeks or months.

Bahamas - Miami - New York - Heathrow - Cyprus - Doha

No sleep with no sleep and an hour or so between each flight. Couldn't sleep the night I arrived and subsequently missed what I was there to do as I was out of it. Best sleep of my life.

China for 1 and a half days work and a long weekend in Hong Kong to recover on the way back .

5 days in Orlando, but I wouldn't call visiting an exhibition work .

Once went to New Zealand to design a bog, what fun, happy days.

Most days used to drive York to at least London for usually a one hour meeting, Mullion in Cornwall for a 30 minute site survey, again from York.

I used to do a minimum of 1000 miles per week.

Similar to the montreal deal - used to have meetings in Pittsburgh USA, so:
Day 1 get on plane in Glasgow @ midday
Arrive pittsburgh approx 8pm, 13 hours later
Crash in hotel
Day 2 - 10am meeting for 2 hours
Do a quick bit of shopping and back to airport at 3pm for 5pm flight
Day 3 - Arrive back in Glasgow at 8am

Total of less than 24 hours in US and absofookinloutely knackering
