I turned off the ignition on my shed Zafira and the engine kept running turned the key a few times no difference, turned the lights off and it killed the engineconfused wtf how can the lights affect the engine runing!
Also when I brake the front sidelights come on must be an earthing problem but where do I start looking

Honestly I would start at the battery.

Only after that I would move to the fuse box, but seriously battery first!

Its a new battery do you mean check the terminals? I'll check it in the morning

You’ve got a back door supply coming from the light circuit and keeping the ignition powered that way.
Start by looking at your brake/tail light bulbs - not uncommon for them to be installed wrongly and bridge the brake and light circuits.

This is it

Pull rear bulbs out and test, faulty bulb or rear wiring is connecting a sidelight supply to brake circuit and is then going through brake switch to ignition

Thats got to be it yes hasn't done it since but the brake lights come on when the dipped beam is on, when the lights are off and I press the brake pedal the front sidelights come on will take the rear bulbs out tomorrow and give the bulbs a good clean

Sounds more like the bulbs have been wedged in the wrong way, or the wrong type of bulb fitted. This shouldn't be possible due to the offset pins, but some people seem to take this as a challenge when fitting bulbs!
