I have an e93 and while I’ve had my share of injector issues and bmw dealer issues with servicing, when it’s all working i forgive its sins and it’s a great year round car. They are also great value given what they’re now worth. I’d probably go for a 330i to have the 6-cyl and extra poke.

Main question is 2 or 4 seater.

4 Seater = 3 Series convertible as you've linked. Info about the metal folding roof system here. I'd suggest going for a six cylinder model (325i/330i), more reliable and better performance than the 4 cyl 320i linked in your OP.

2 Seater = Z4, Boxster, MX5, S2000 etc.

Z4 (E85) best looking of the above. Get the 3 litre.

Neighbour had a 320i convertible: hated it as it was a heavy car and the engine wasn't really powerful enough to cope.

Buy something beefier.
