Yes I went and did not think it was very good, I found it mostly car dealers who just sat in their seats,, it lacked real classic car clubs, the live road that was in Excel was no more, Took me ages to queue and get a Pizza in the Pizza Express outlet, I won't return.

Was it good? At least I could buy (expensive) garden furniture, have a haircut, buy champagne and get my will written.
Funny I thought it was a car show.

Agreed, was as flat as a pancake. The London one is never as good as the one at the NEC but this was the worst yet.

Just think the whole thing felt very subdued, I like shows where there is a wide range of vehicles with owners eager to talk about their cars. This just felt like a car showroom.

Was thinking about going tomorrow, but after Retromobile the other week it would probably be a big let down.

Ticket sales have been much higher compared to excel on this one, but it does feel a lot smaller. I think if i paid for a ticket i would have been a little disappointed. It does feel a show aimed at the investor rather then the enthusiast (especially the VIP night £75 a ticket). Although the people I have spoken to seem more enthusiast then investor.
The galleries have a nicer atmosphere then the excel did, that was always quite stand offish.

i can see how its a mismatch in what it is exactly, who its aimed at and who is actually going, but with a little refining i think it has potential. They didn't give the clubs much notice this time, so hopefully next year they will know the plan a little better.

There seems to be quite a lot of talk on Facebook about the Jaguar Drivers Club stand and chassis#2 FHC E-type which was on show, but for the rest your collective opinion doesn't sound good.

Went Friday, not the worst show I've been to, agree the emphasis seemed more towards auction/dealer/specialist than clubs, but plenty of people happy to chat & some lovely cars to gawk at.

Stick some 1980s Ferraris in a room and I'm happy. That said, the comments above reflect those made by my mate who I was with and I largely agree with them. The Excel last year was better. Previously we'd been to the NEC numerous times but it's so big that we started to fancy something a bit smaller that didn't leave us exhausted. Also, the lighting at the NEC is poor. We went to all the Alexandra Palace C&SC shows and loved them, but that appears to have stopped. We'll probably go back to doing the NEC.

I went yesterday. Small, not crowded but we were still there 5 hours. Lots of watch sellers, not much to actually buy, the Sealey stand looked to be selling well, the guy with the posters/canvas prints was selling well yesterday afternoon.

Don't eat the food inside, there's Georges Cafe around the side by Carpark P3 that did huge doorstop bacon and egg sandwiches (£4), full fryups etc at very reasonable prices.

Anyone see the auction Saturday. The mk1 2 door range rover from Salvage Hunters classic cars didn't sell, quite a lot on the auction didn't. Loves the green Merc 190, Weissman.

Quite a lot of cars for sale, nice to see, so you got an impression of prices. Seemed lower than NEC 6 months ago.
A few owners clubs, Ferrari, Glen was there with his Lambo club trailer.

I liked it wasn't busy, something different and easy to get to from the West.

A pal was badgering me to go, so glad I didn’t !! Sick of wasting ££ and valuable time @ disappointing shows. I would have liked to have seen the 2 door Range Rover mentioned though.

Just found some details on it. I’ve owned / run / bought sold Many early RRs.
It’s an 82 in Lincoln Green, they found it in Spain and paid circa £10 grand for it. It’s been on Car and Classic @ £30 grand, but hasn’t sold. A few years ago, I would have thought that it would have made this kind of money fairly easily.
