Another Norfolk dweller here 
Take mine to Cambridge for annual service but otherwise do what I can myself, clutch however if the time comes will definitely be BR or David Appleby..... Replaced two Lamda's around three years ago, purchased them online, took the car to the TVR specialist I use in Downham Market to get the car up in the air, all done in an hour (including exhaust cooling down), total cost was less than a third of what I was quoted by the local Aston Dealer... In fact it was the outrageous quote that steered me away from them and towards Cambridge....
Be interested to know where Cambridge are falling down for you....

I used to use Cambridge for servicing for my V8.I got them to respray a front wing that had a nasty stone chip. Dropped the car off, agreed to collect in two weeks. Went to collect, the side strake was attached to the paint. Clearly some lazy person had attempted to finish the job in a hurry and put the strake back before the paint was dry and hard.
Well, I'm a reasonable chap, mistakes happen. I mentioned to the service manager that I'll leave the car for another two weeks and then collect. He apologised profusely and I shrugged it off as one of those things.
Two weeks later I go to collect the car. Guess what? Same thing, wet paint and re-attached strake.
I lost my rag a little. Said I'll be back in a two weeks, don't mess it up again.
Third time they did it properly.
No attention to detail. And no offer of a discount or anything for goodwill.
Jokers.
Wouldn't use them ever.
Sadly the sales side are excellent, the old dealer principal was really good and so was the head of Sales - I bought his Dad's old car.
But after sales were very poor...
Thanks all for suggestions. Will call Bamford Rose now for a quote as a lot of recommendations here and from AMOC members.

Finding AM Cambridge to be inconsistent mechanically and organisationally. What was flagged as issues at last year's service was not mentioned this time and they have not been fixed.
