I've had a good look about at the latest tyre options for 18 inch (Cayman 2.9) but haven't found much about the following possibles here in Blighty:
1) PS4S front, PS4 rear
2) PS4S front, PSS rear
3) PS4 front and rear
Use; no track days and crappy roads nearby.
Else should I give up and go PS2 or GY Asymmetric 2's?
Cheers, Steve

I dont think PS4S are avialable in 18 in sizes. But the vanilla PS4 certainly is, and if not for track use - probably a good choice. I will be going to them when my current PS2’s expire.

Camskill have these avaible for fronts;

Michelin Tyres / Car / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S -
235/40 R18 (95Y) XL (DT1) TL

Not exact match but tempting!

PS4 are a brilliant UK road tyre, had them on my V6 Exige, the 130i and now M135i.
Must have done almost 100k miles combined and never found them wanting.

Thanks, reassuring to hear that PS4 would be a good choice.
I'd like a matching set!

Any view on whether the 2.9 Cayman on PS4 tyres is better off all round with 91 or the 95 (xl) version? Road use only.
Standard is obviously 91 but my old Evo needed all the side wall rigidity one could get - although it was on GY F1's which were not known for their beefy walls.

I’m planning on a set of PS4 all round for my Boxster 987.1 - also considered PS4S fronts like you.

I’m planning to go with XL fronts since the N fitment PS2 I currently have fitted are XL front and rear (pretty sure the PS2 I had on my E46 330Ci were also XL).

The XL bit isn't important - what is the actual LI?

95 F and 101 R to match the N fitment PS2. Pirelli appear to have done an N fitment front with a load index of 91 however.

The only PS4 I see with the lower load index (91) comes with a W speed rating. Personally I’d go with the 95 & 101.

Thanks all, I think I'll go with the 95 load index on the fronts.
