I have found a couple of canam / gtr build sites but there has to be more out there. Any or you guys have a site that could assist me in building my canAm.

Here are ones I found
www.brammo.com/ultima/
www.ultima-gtr.info/
www.adequatespeed.freeserve.co.uk/top.htm
http://personales.jet.es/jmarino/page2.html

www.spectrum5.com/news.htm

Not a complete build site.

www.drac-cars.com/

Has some info that may be of interest.

You've prolly seen these before and they aren't complete build pages.

There was another full build page I can't remember of some guy in the US building a GTR with a Ford powerplant. He had the full blown step by step build process documented. At one stage it was too cold to work in the garage then one stage he had the flu or something. I think he was using Kinsler fuel injection.

You're thinking of Cliff Hudson. His website used to be at http://chronos.nanoknight.com/Ultima/Intro.html but it seems to have disappeared recently. It's a shame because his was a really useful site...I think that he got consumed by work

Google's cache is useful for getting the gist of things but sadly it misses out the pictures...

I've found being a member of the owners club helpful (if you are not already). There's lots of members only info on their website www.ultimaclub.com and regular club meetings (if you live in the right part of the world).

I've found that the build manual and Craig Bramscher's website (for another view of how things fit together) to be the most useful...though stig's website should be useful if you are just starting out...but I'm way ahead of him (for a week or two anyway! ).

Ask on here if you get stuck. Someone is bound to know the right way to stick these things together...

I agree that it's a shame that Craig's site is no longer up. It was a great reference. If you are having problems an email to the factory with a request for a picture is usually met with success in 1-2 days.

I actually have an archive of the site which I took in late April to have it available on a laptop in the garage (which sadly is not networked)

I'll bung Cliff an email tonight and see how things are going...and maybe ask if I could host a temporary mirror on my own website until he can get his up and running again.
