Can anybody identify this unusual spring?
Discussion
I am looking for some springs like this one with and extra loop in them – presumably to make them easy to remove. They hold the battery on a 1950's/1960’s Lamborghini tractor. It’s unlikely Lamborghini had them specially made, so they’re probably off something else or used in another application.
I’d be really grateful if anybody has any idea where I can get springs similar to this?
Thanks,
TSS
This looks similar.

Would be a long shot but have you tried emailing Lamborghini?
Hi paintman, unfortunately Lamborghini sold their tractor division to the SAME group in 1973. So although you can still buy a brand new Lamborghini Tractor today, they are no longer a “true” Lamborghini (just like the cars really!) and SAME isn’t very responsive to requests for pre 1973 parts from my experience. There are a few avenues I can try in Italy, but I’ve found it’s normally easier and cheaper to either source a similar modern part in the UK or manufacture the parts myself. I’ve got 5 Lambo tractors – 4 in various stages of restoration – so I’ve spent many happy hours chasing obscure bits!

Seem to be a few on Amazon for pet cages.
Size might be an issue I suppose.

Yes, not sure they will be heavy duty enough. The exhaust hanger is still looking favourite at the moment.Seem to be a few on Amazon for pet cages.

Neil.
Neil, thank you so much. I can't find anybody who lists the springs as in stock, but it is a great lead to follow up. And the Miura battery cover also looks the same as the tractor one – I need one of those too and they seem to be available as reproductions from Italy. Neil.
