2.7 Boxster buying advice
Discussion
Went to look at one of these today, a 2000 (W) reg with 33k miles on the clock and full porsche main dealer history. The car has been serviced at 2 dealers in its past. Reading to begin with and the last 2 services have been done at Hatfield.
The car has Climate Control, CDR22 stereo system, electric roof, manual leather seats, but not full leather as the dash is plastic as is the rear window. The car is the facelift model with the angled switches on the centre console.
Went for a testdrive and the car drives really nicely, and makes a nice noice when opened up.
Now, as it seems impossible to get access to the actual engine apart from the oil dipstick and what have you, can anyone give me advice on things to check for before I finally make a decision.
They have the car up for £19,995, is this a fair price considering the low mileage.

My advice would be to see if you can find an 'S' for similar money. I bought mine two months ago- went for the S in the end and am totally happy with the decision. Knew I'd wanty the extra power after I'd got used to it. I paid 24k from a specialist dealer for mine; its a basalt black 2001 with full leather, auto seats, 18"split rims, 4 airbags, CDR22,a tracker and 10mm lowered chassis; all factory fit options. It had done 24000 miles. I did think I'd done pretty well, now looking at autotrader I'm not so sure....
Whichever one you get, enjoy! Loving mine although I find the outsized steering wheel a bit much!
