Adjusting Window stop on Chimeara

Hi,

my drivers side window is stopping a couple of mil short of sealing properly. I know from the bible that there's a big screw halfway along the inside edge of the glass that I twiddle to adjust this but do you think I can see it/get a screwdriver on it ?

What head does it have and should it be easily visible - any advice on easiest way of adjusting this ?

It had a slot head and is hidden by the 'furry' draft excluder along the top of the door. At leasr it is on mine.
I think that it lies at an angle ie not vertical.

Ah ha, I thoguht it was laying at an angle - any idea if it faces forwards or backwards ?

I'm a bit wary of stuffing a screwdriver where the sun don't shine in case I catch something....

Can anybody tell me exactly where the window should stop? Should it be level with the chrome upright, or a few mm below?

Mine stop a few mm above the chrome upright, but I guess there's a chance they're all different. I adjusted mine high to give a very tight fit!

all mine have always stopped above the frame level.

If the roof lifts up it's too high.

I had similar - drivers side window not going up all the way leaving about 3mm between the window and the seal - plus the window was loose and could be moved around by hand..and you can just guess how annoyingly rattly it was.

All sorted by Silverstone TVR for £25 inc VAT, and they fixed the Cigar lighter which had dropped through into the door at the same time.

Remove the baby from the passenger seat :-)

Mine still rattles a little bit , but not the monster rattle it had before, and the window doesnt wobble about like it did - having chatted with the guys at Silverstone it seems that everything (yes that nebulous everything that also has a friend called something) needed tightening up. Sounds like a case of having the right tools to be able to get to the bits inside the door and window mechanism. Apparently the mechanism on mine is worn but now its tight its working fine :-)

The nearside window on mine also had this rattle...it was really bad when shutting the door! I found that the rear channel for the window was missing it's rubber guide.I removed the speaker and found the channel in the bottom of the door.You can then feed it back in from the top of the door.Cured mine anyway,maybe worth a look

Did both my windows last night having read subject yesterday. ome wide masking tape and tear off long strip and stick furry bit back then you can see adjuster easily and adjust as necessary. both windows now fit tight to rubber of hood panel

Now why didn't I think of that - what a bloody good idea - will take a look this weekend.
