If you read the article it transpires that until recently this old chap held the record of joint oldest man in the UK with a Scottish guy. The Scot passed away quite recently.
He is the still the joint oldest person in the UK with a lady from the South Coast I think.

Anyway, the interesting coincidence is that all three of these centenarians were born on precisely the same day March 29 1908. Weird.

Oh and a sobering thought. He's the oldest (known) man in the world, but there are 50 women that are older than him!!

The Chinese guy only lasted about 2 weeks after being named the oldest guy.
