I am aware of the existing chatter on the site about embedding photos in posts. However I keep my photos in Google Photos and can see no way of embedding images from there into a PH post. I can create a link to the photo but it doesn't give me a .jpg (or .gif or whatever) file reference, it gives me something like this:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/cRMpnKp328mukJAAA

Is there any way of putting such images in a PH post? (Google led me to a solution from ctrlq.org which doesn't work.)

I don't believe Google Photos allows embedding of links in forums and the like.

Interesting - so Google make it verboten? Didn't know that. Thanks.

Any idea why not? It's a big restriction.

anyone know why the same doesn't work on flikr?

Flikr allows embedding and the link above is from the embed option in flier?

every time i try to paste the link i get a 403 error here?

Have you tried right clicking on the image and copying the address that way?

No bud, I assume you are using a PC?

I’m using an IPad, so don’t get that option!

In Flickr you need to select the 'share photo' option, then copy the BB Code they provide. Thus:
