BMW E93 320D Interior Vibration
Discussion
Hi all,
I own a BMW E93 320D with 160k on the clock, car runs fine apart from a very frustrating hall Cabin and interior vibration which seems to only appear when stationery and Idle all the time. It seems to reduce by quite a lot once i apply a gentle pressure on throttle pedal while stationary light at traffic lights etc.
I also have another symptom which i am not sure if it is related, when i apply brake while reversing i can hear a clunking sound which seems to come from the front of the car bonnet area...!
Any ideas anyone please?
Thank you in advance

Not sure about the brake sounds, but I presume that’s going to be pad/calliper related.
Vibration at idle. I saw a car recently, where part of the engine trim was touching the steering column and the vibration was travelling in to the cabin. When the engine was revved slightly the engine moved up on one side, and moved away from the column. So on that one, I’d have a look at the engine bay at idle, get someone to give it a few revs, and see what happens to the engine position.
Hopefully someone more mechanically minded than me, will be along to tell you it’s an engine mount, or similar

I've an E92 320D and had a buzzy rattle in the cabin at idle. I found it was one of the clips holding the brushed stainless trim on the passenger door card. A bit of dum-dum where the clip fits to the trim sorted it. I think the same is starting on the driver side.
Not sure if that's the same noise as you're getting, but thought it worth mentioning.
