Anyone fitted one of these:

https://www2.astonmartin.com/en/accessories/v12-va...

Especially this one "Alcantara Gear Knob with the option of a hand laid carbon fibre panel beneath the glass insert"

Photos? Pretty please!

I’m not even gonna open that link as I suspect it’s likely to be about £12k

The power rangers leg?

I was told by someone that the gearstick was designed for a Lincoln and it ended up with Aston Martin by some odd twist of fate...

I quite like it, but I did like the feel of the gearstick I had in my 4.3 V8 Vantage.

Does it? It can have carbon fibre under the glass with the pictogram depicting the H gates. And that's cooler than the gearstick in most cars. But I'd really like some real world photos to have a look....

I wonder how well an Alcantara gear knob would stand up to being pawed every gear change? Steering wheels can get tatty-looking

Alcantara is literally the most hard wearing substance for a car interior - thats why it is used in race cars. It looks tatty but it gets dirty - clean with a damp soapy cloth, and it will look brand new.

I had one fitted to my V8 to replace the leather one. I really liked the feel and it looked greatZ

Probably the easiest thing on the car to clean, just use a baby wipe occasionally and it looked like new!

I have one fitted to my V12V 6 speed ... done before I got the car but love it. The alloy one would've been a nice to have as well sat in my spare parts bin

Or wear driving gloves. After all, it's a known fact that all Aston owners are septuagenarians...

There are two alcantara shift nobs available, the only difference being that carbon fiber inlay. I've had the one without carbon fiber for a few years and never considered the one with as the cost increase wasn't worth the fact that I've never once noticed mine not having carbon fiber. It's a very small detail and to me wasn't worth the extra cost. It also comes in a package with the alcantara steering wheel, which I really like.

I've got the alcantara one with carbon inlay. Much prefer it to the maglight. Just need the carbon surround now but they never seen to come up at a reasonable price
