Well more quarterly than semi...

I currently wear Alpinestars SMX-3's when I tour or commute to work, and really like the fact that they have decent protection, and I can wear them out or in an office without too much attention.

I also have full on MX boots for when I off-road.

I'm looking to get an ADV bike, and wanted something in between, that I can use on road, and also go on trails without having to go 'full ADV'. I found the Alpinestars Belize, which I think fit the bill. I need something that will fit under jeans.

Does anyone have experience of these, and is there anything else I should be looking at?

P.S. I think my feet are too wide/flat for Sidi.

I have a pair of these that I used when I had my KTM 640 Adv. They seemed OK, certainly comfortable enough. I sold the bike shortly after buying these, so I've only worn them a few times. I was thinking of using them for greenlaning this summer, just need to check the height gives enough protection.

I highly recommend the Gaerne All Terrain Gore Tex boot. More trials than adventure, but all day comfortable, fully waterproof and just not as clunky on the controls as the adventure boots. I've had a lot of good miles out of mine.

Forma adventure is the boot to go for. Sold loads of them in my old job and people used to rave about them. Never had a faulty pair come back either.

Hi, did you also sell the Forma Adventure Tourer boots?
I like the all day walking comfort and higher boot height but want them to fit under jeans.

I bought some Forma Adventure boots on Friday for my first off-road adventures in a few weeks. Haven’t ridden in them yet (doubt I’d be able to hook a gear on my 1198!) but will give ‘em a go tomorrow on an Africa Twin and report back. They’re super comfy and seem a bargain at £160.

The guy in getgeared price matched with superbike shop and said they’re one of those items that is always reduced. So never pay the full £220, basically...

Another vote for the Forma boots here. Ive has them for a year and I’ve done lots of road miles, trail riding and commuting on my Tiger 800 and have worn them for a whole day at work when I forgot to chuck my shoes in my panniers - all in perfect comfort.
