Can anyone pls tell me where the seats for a 1986 280i would have come from? I assume that the seat frames came from a third party.

They were made by Callow & Maddox in Coventry, who also made/ make seats for most of the rest of the Brit car industry.
That's why they look familiar; they use the same parts as other car seats but are TVR-specific. The most notable feature is the long seat cushion...
