Is there a setting for keeping the dashboard illumination in the daytime white rather than covert if to orange after dark!? I’ve found how you change the colour of the mood lighting but not this. I have never liked orange illumination

Doesn't it let you know you your lights are on?

I bet you can code it out with one of the apps.

The orange is classic BMW, I find it easier on the eyes than white (when it’s dark out). As above, you may be able to code it so it doesn’t change.

You can't code out the orange.

It’s not just BMW my Audi from many years ago also had red lights at night. For a lower level of illumination you are more able to see the dashboard clearly with red light. At night when you then look up you are able to see the road more clearly than if the light was white and which would need to be brighter. It’s all to do with rods and cones. https://www.autoblog.com/2017/02/28/bmw-x4-toyota-...
