Audi A3 1.8 TFSI 2014

Will be going to look at one with the brother in law this week sometime. It’s the newer 1.8 which seems quite a rare car. I had the 1.8 in my 2009 A3 but as I understand it that was an older generation of engine.
Has anyone owned or had any experience of the newer VAG 1.8? Any issues with the timing chain or oil consumption (which plagued the older engine!)?

Also, I’m not too clued up on the more recent S tronic/DSG gearboxes. Conflicting reports on whether the 6 speed or 7 speed needs servicing or both? No idea which one comes with the 1.8.
