BMW 120D yes or no
Discussion
Hey guys
I'm in a crap situation.
I'm just had my A3 written off and need to get a car for work.
And I have a friend do a friend who is selling their beamer 120d.
2004 - 164000 miles for £1000
With the following issues that the Garage said is cheap to fix.
Abs warning light
(Abs receptor ring replacement or abs sensor)
Wheel needs to get balanced also needs new tyre.
No locking nut
Wear senor needs replacing
Would you go for a beamer with such high millage or spend the money on a low mileage ford/honda/Toyota?

I've recently seen the rear subframe assembly on a similar age and mileage 1 Series have to be completely replaced as it had rotted right through. The bodyshells are well protected, but like most ageing cars the suspension components are often pretty exposed and crusty by now. Have a good root underneath.
I think the normal advice with things like swirl flaps, DMF, cam chain condition, general condition of bushes and droplinks etc all apply.
