Has anyone seen this colour in the flesh before I make the journey?

I am drawn to this R8... i have been looking for a low mileage first gen and this one looks well priced at Prestige Cars Kent. It has various Audi Exclusive options that adds to the appeal, but I am not sure if I like Avocado Green or not!

What doesn't help is a Google seach results little for comparison. This newer R8 claims to be Avocado, and looks completely different!

I would say its personal taste.
It is super important with these cars to get a well maintained and well cared for example so for me that would be the deciding factor.

This is certainly well equipped and looks to be a very tidy example.

have you viewed others?

Thanks guys. I'm going to man up and go check it out for myself! I've been told by the dealer that it's in great condition so look forward to checking it out.

That admin fee is taking the biscuit.

I would certainly be interested to see what the colour looks like in natural light. Looks like a lovely example though.

Please update!

Applause for whoever ordered it in that colour. Looks fantastic. Too easy to tick ‘silver/black/grey’ when ordering a German car these days.

Yeah, I thought that at first too, but then compared to what else I'm looking at it's cheaper than everything else, including a private sale.

The admin fee is fairly common now days. If the car was £200 More expensive I'm sure it would still represent a good deal.

LostBoy - is this for a long term purchase? The condition and mileage are too good to miss for someone who knows how to look after their cars. Please update us after your viewing how you feel about the colour and your experience with the dealership.

No, Bora Bora green is much lighter.

Quite like the R8 - suspect it'll be very dependent on lighting for how it looks - reckon it'll look nice out in the wild but just won't photograph well

Thanks for input chaps. Agreed, carbon side blades would help I think - not sure how easy it is to retrofit such a thing.

Viewing booked for the weekend.

I believe they’re pretty easy to swap. A couple of torx screws and some tape. There are some videos on YouTube.

Not wanting to teach you how to suck eggs, but you have Googled the reviews of the garage in question?

And then ordered them in order of lowest rating first, noting the dates of said reviews etc, to make sure of relevance etc?

Wrap the side blades in the same shade of grey as the wheels and you'll have a really lovely unique car.

Never seen the colour in person, but it looks absolutely fantastic. Well done to whoever was brave enough to tick that box on the original order...

I have, thanks Matt. It's a car supermarket, so I am guessing most cars come from BCA and the like. I'm assuming with the low mileage on this R8 I can establish its history pretty easily.
