Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE
Discussion
I'm picking one of these up in 2 weeks from Triumph Staffs, nearly new with 300 miles on it.
anyone got one - any top tips / mods or general observations?
Thruxton R is making way for it... lovely bike but I don't really get the best out of it on the kind of riding I do and mad though it seems the scrambler / enduro / motard type bike I find brilliant for London commuting...potholes, gravel, sightlines, bars higher than most wing mirrors etc.
Zard 2:1 single can low level exhaust going on it as I found the standard far too quiet and dont want my right leg cooked in heavy traffic for X months of the year

Nice bike choice! I've had mine for a couple of months after buying it 6 months and 5000km old.
I'm yet to really ride it properly thanks to winter over here in the Netherlands but I absolutely love the style and riding position / feel. Mine had already had a Free Spirit decat which certainly makes a big difference in the heat under the right leg - not yet tested in hot city riding though.
I love the high pipes to much to think about changing them!
Enjoy it when it arrives!
