The old girl turns over, splutters but doesn’t fire?!

As above really, fuel pump primes, turns over and occasionally splutters but refuses to fire!
I’m thinking weak spark?

Good, but if plugs are wet you won't have a spark there where you need it

If your very very lucky, foot to the floor whilst cranking might get enough air in to fire, but suspect its plugs out time
Forced myself to learn not to touch the throttle when starting the car from cold for at least a minute or two, changing wet plugs is a ball ache when all i want to do is drive.
