Hi all,

I'm in the market for some new jeans and would really like some waterproofs that are actually waterproof in heavy / persistent rain this time... Happy to spend a bit more cash this time to ensure i no longer suffer from a damp arse / crotch at the other end of my 45 minute commute...

For the last couple of years I have been using some Dojo Hara jeans that were thrown in with a waterproof jacket from Sportsbikeshop. The jacket has been faultless but the jeans have always leaked around the arse in heavy rain.

I've looked at Alpinestars Andes Drystar and Raider Dry Star which get good reviews, also looked at the Dainese Galvestone stuff. Sadly, Alpinestars seems to have nothing in my size at the moment, with a 7 week wait for new stock on the Alpine Stars stuff!

Any reccomendations? Would be nice to have a matching new jacket too.

I've just bought the Andes stuff and had a couple of wet rides and been fine, can't confirm long term waterproof-ness yet. It is very warm and I've been able to remove a layer from what I was wearing underneath beforehand.

I also struggled to get stuff from Sportsbikeshop in my size and bought off eBay from a shop called mybikesolution. Back and hip protection is bought separately.

6ft, 12st, medium fits well.

Rokker Revolution - even with the armour in they still look like a really nicely cut pair of normal jeans.

Only issues I've had have been that in warm weather they get hot, and they "swish" very slightly when you walk. Top of the line kit though.
