Twice now our i3 has had the low tyre pressure warning, and twice now the OH half has reported that the brakes 'don't work'. Does the tyre pressure warning limit the brake force? Is this a feature by design? Both times restoring the recommended tyre pressures has resolved the braking issue.

Anybody know anything about this? I don't have the manual to hand at the moment.

How low do the pressures get? I do wonder if the car backs off the brakes in order to maintain stability when the tyre is vastly under pressure.

Or for whatever reason it can't use regen, so you have to rely solely on the discs?

Yeah, since it has happened twice now I'm kind of leaning towards the idea it's deliberate. Not encountered it on any other vehicles though.
