2016 Audi R8 Gen 2 (MK2) True Running Costs

Hi All,

Got a friend who is looking to buy one of these, possibly a 2016 V10 or V10 plus in the next few months. Anyone got any insights into the running costs of these cars?

He's trying to factor in 'annual running costs'. Audi quoted him £1.2k for a partial warranty for 12 months or £1.8k for complete warranty. I think servicing he's not too worried about but they can do a service plan too I think. I'm assuming the warranty is required as repair work should be high on a car like this? If needed that is.

Originally he was looking at a used McLaren 12c but he didn't like the £3.2k warranty with the £1k service on top.

Normally, I do agree. However, I am asking on behalf of someone else. Whether he can comfortably afford it or whether he’s blowing his savings is not my business.

That aside, do you happen to know anything about the R8 costs?
