Coronavirus - shortages, price hikes & profiteering

I try to take care of my 73 yr old Mother. She has health issues & you don't want to take unnecessary risks.
I've banned her from walking aroung markets & charity shops for the present, & drilled into her the need to wash her hands - especially if going into town to meet her friends for a cuppa.
I've been trying to get some more hand sanitiser. Shop shelves have been cleared, & the greedy b
ds on E-bay & Amazon are charging £10 for a small bottle that you would've got down Poundland a few weeks ago.
My Cousin (who is a nurse) tells me it has to have 70% alchohol content to be effective. Thinking of putting cheap Vodka in a spray bottle !
Anyway, the point is ; Computer parts prices are rising rapidly (nothing is shipping from China), Car manufacturers are cutting hours / taking a shut-down due to parts shortages. I guess next is garages upping service costs, and prices of brake-pads, filters, turbos etc sky-rocketting due to supply & demand.
Has anyone experienced a hefty bill yet for car repairs ? or been told that there's a long delay for that replacement Engine Management Unit ?
What do you think is going to happen to prices, now this is looking to be a long haul ?
