For a few years I’ve referred to it as ‘finance white’ most marques have white as a no cost option. If you see a German marque with a M-sport/AMG kits in white, guaranteed to be on finance.
And obviously after 2/3 years they hit the used market.
My other half loves white cars, I can’t abide them.

Not anymore it isn't, they have got wise to this and now generally offer a dull solid blue or grey as the standard colour (VW wanted over 200 quid for a white, none metallic Polo GTi when I bought mine, solid red is the standard "free" colour for it. I went for the met blue as it wasn't really much more). On a none-GTi Polo a dull solid grey is the "free" colour.Griff74 said:

This is great news for the used car market in a few years time. I seem to recall Porsche started the whole resurgence of white with some release of a "new" car, might have been the first Cayman can't remember, but my that thing looked great and then it just got more and more popular with everyone getting a white car and manufacturers pushing variations of white it's all a bit much really.
So much so that when I look at cars I purposely don't want one in white, even then ones that look really good in it, no I will find another colour it suits. Daft right.
For me the colour of choice at the moment has to be paints like the Mercedes Emerald Green Metallic or my personal favourite Ruby Black Metallic, I just have so much want for that colour. I saw a Morgan Aero SuperSport in something similar once, just wow...
