Using finance (PCP & HP) repayments to get problems fixed?
Discussion
Would withholding finance repayments be one way of getting a dealer and manufacturer to meet their obligations with regard to the manufacturers warranty and fixing problems that the brand and model are known for?
Would the buyer have greater leverage and consumer protection for the duration of the manufacturers warranty if they paid for the motorcycle by Credit Card(s)?

More a case of once bitten, twice shy. And wary of being a mug punter again.
To get rid of a bike bought new outright without finance that's had two expensive, complicated parts replaced under warranty that then do the same again I am considering trading it in with the same dealer for a more expensive bike from the same manufacturer. One of the ongoing expensive issues with my existing bike can also be an issue on the new, supposedly better one.
The additional money for finance is negligible so I was wondering if finance could be used a potential lever to get the dealer and manufacturer to get their crap together should the new bike be the same with regard to defects, attempts to fix it and parts availability.
