Do I need a current MOT?
No, assuming general conditions re 40 year exemption apply (ie issue re modifications etc). There is (was?) a form to fill out to state exempt (can't recall the number) but the PO didn't want it.Having said that, obtaining the form showed the difference in approach of staff; having queued at a larger post office and asking for the mot-exemption form, even quoting the number, the middle-aged male member of staff replied 'we don't do them, you'll have to get one from DVLA'.
I queried it and he was adamant. With that, a young female staff member overheard, clarified what I was after and reached behind the first staff member and pulled out a couple of the forms from their racking system and handed them to me.
