Had a 500 twin air and a DC5, sold off both for a Golf Mk7 DSG Tdi Blue motion.

Excellent car, but my regular commute suddenly dropped to less than 5 miles, plus would like to offload the golf before the depreciation hit brought on by the mk8 hits me.

What I'm looking for:

Good ride over stty roads
Not fwd
Automatic
Decent boot (eg prefer 4 series GC over 3 series because of boot but open to consider coupes, hatchback, wagons etc)
Decent drive enjoyment when pushed
200hp minimum engine and enjoyable to wring (ideally more than 4 cylinders and will gladly give it a 15mins blast once a week the clear any dpfs ??)
Premium audio as standard
Ventilated seats
Vw-level adaptive cruise that can handle stop start traffic conditions
Under 20k gbp
Under 60k miles

Let me know if it sounds impossible

But that has a saloon style boot. And may be a tad too big.

Why would you want a diesel for such a short journey to work? How about a 335i with sensible wheels for a better ride?

Would prefer a 440i gc, but there's already a 430d gc in the company car park and they don't come with ventilated seats. Summer is a problem over here.

You'll have to compromise somewhere... Ventilated seats typically start on E-Class/CLS/5-Series/XF size cars.

Never said I wanted a diesel, would prefer petrol in fact, just didn't want to rule it out completely.

Again, 335i is a no go because of the boot. Plus I'd prefer the B58 if I had to go in that direction even though the N55 sounds like the bee's knees.

That's what i thought from what I've seen so far, although was looking at the Lexus Rc but not impressed with the drive train and cruise control options.

To be honest a Porsche Macan is looking like the best compromise at this point, but that's going over budget.

Was looking at the M140i but no ventilated seat options there.

Actually have a Scott 29er that doesn't get much use. But with how I cycle and the way people drive over here, not sure the living longer part will be true.

Actually have a strong love for the 5 series tourings. Will have a look at those in detail.

540i Touring would be a great bet. I currently have a 440i coupe with the cloth/alcántara interior. I don't like leather either but have also found that ventilated seats aren't always effective enough. They aren't always cooling so much as just a fan to move the air around.
