Oil Hose Fittings

Can anyone confirm whether the hose fittings (Pump/Filter/Block) are 5/8" BSP?

Yes. Sounds right to me. I converted mine to AN-10.

This is one of the original fittings allowing the hoses to attach to the oil filter plate



However the new adaptors I needed for the Mocal plate with temp sender have a step in the bore



I decided to go to the expense of having them bored out so the step was removed

Then I checked the adaptor where the hose enters the block, and it too has a bore change

Peering in to the block the oil way itself is even smaller in diameter



Did I waste money getting the oil filter fittings bored out?

Sod's Law dictates that if you hadn't bored them out then they would have been the 'tight spot' in
the flow and caused a seizure at some time (prob on Flugplatz) so Well Done for putting your mind
(and Wallet) to rest
