Good evening all,

I've been hanging my nose over a V8 Vantage for a few months now. I had been looking at early 4.3's but I'd been put off by a couple that didn't quite have that "wow" factor. They felt rattly old or just worn.

Today I tried an N420 and I rather liked it - it had all the toys I wanted - Heated seats, Cruise, Bluetooth, clear rear lights, ipod connection, adjustable lumbar etc and the slightly later but infinitely (imo) classier console. It also sounds delicious

It also felt usably torquey whereas the 4.3s felt a littl lacklustre.

It's done 46k miles, The dealer is asking £40K and it feels very well screwed together on roadtest. There are however quite a few stonechips.

What are people's thoughts?

Sounds like you really like it .
Wouldn’t worry about a few stone chips if overall it matches your wish list .
Just post a pic when you’ve bought it 👍🏻

Stone chips... yeah, mine had a couple when I bought it, now it has 17. If you like it, and you`ve done the appropriate checks, buy it, and make more stone chips!

Tell the dealer to get rid of the stone chips and you'll take it.

I have one in Quantum Silver (70 of 420) and I absolutely adore it. It's my favourite configuration with those wheels, carbon fibre, Sport Pack, Sport Exhaust, darker and menacing look. It is true you could have specced a non-limited version exactly the same, but having that little extra panache makes it a little extra special to me.

I second EVR. I have the same model and love it. Did you mean to say 47K kilometers or is it 47K miles? I think the the price tag seems high for 47k miles in my opinion. I am seeing a 2011 silver vantage (not N420) with 35k miles and sitting in the US market for 8 months. It has come down in price from 47k to 42k (autotrader).

Since that post I've driven an V8VS with the 7spd gearbox.

I'm glad I did, I think I prefer that, it's as good as the old one was bad in my opinion and the steering and brakes seemed that bit sharper. The better satnav and black interior accents looked nicer to me too.
