I was trying to remove the stereo today in my T350c which I have had for a week but just couldn't get it out. I didn't want to damage the dash or the head unit. I tried using small flat head screw drivers in the little slots at either side but it didn't release it. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

I have a spare decent Kenwood head unit which I thought I might as well stick in the car as the Pioneer one isn't exactly top of the range! Probably won't make much difference with the stock speakers but will look a bit better :)

The release keys with your kenwood unit will probably work, if not you can get spare keys in Halfords, etc. I think they are a standard shape these days for a fair few manufacturers.

Cheers,

Ended up borrowing some "keys" from a mate who I remembered also had a Pioneer head unit. Took 5 seconds with them

Trouble is the new Kenwood unit doesn't keep it's memory when the ignition is turned off. Maybe the red and yellow cables need reversing... it is too dark to be messing about at the moment
