it had hidden features in the display in the 981
not sure if it's the same, as the features are hidden and not talked about on paper or manuals.
you got a G meter and gear change shift display along with crono in the 981.
for £336 its a must have imo esp if you went for a CS car.
"Comprising an analogue stopwatch on the dashboard, a digital stopwatch function in the instrument cluster and performance display in Porsche Communication Management (PCM)
The cabling preparation for lap trigger implements support for the lap trigger available separately from Porsche Tequipment for automated and highly precise lap timing control. The results can then be analysed and compared on your smartphone thanks to the Porsche Track Precision app offered as standard"
I had the G meter and shift lights added back in on my 981 GT4 in software as at happens as I did not sp0ec crono back then as it was ££££
but as I have said for £336 best to tick it now it's that cheap.

It does give the features.... but they don't change the driving experience. If you can get shift changer and g-meter coded for free - no need to spend. For track use..better off putting the £336 towards a proper vBox video setup. not sure if it's the same, as the features are hidden and not talked about on paper or manuals.

New clock for 718 is also an ugly wart again..rather than nicely integrated in the 981.

the issue with coded for free is just that with OPC these days pretty much no chance and would make the £336 cheap lolNew clock for 718 is also an ugly wart again..rather than nicely integrated in the 981.
in the 981 it was over £800 and every one said it did nothing but it did in the end.
also in the past they did not tell the time, now it's a clock which is nice :-) I speced a black dial in the GT3 as to not reflect in the window.
people make the mistake of having a coloured one and it just reflects in the windscreen.
pretty handy having a stop watch on track days on the display when a lot ban timing in real time. with crono you have the display as a stop watch.
£800 no chance. £336 seems a no brainer to me.
