Megane Alternatives - Fiesta ST???
Discussion
My 2011 TTS is literally boring me to tears right now, I have been eyeing up another Megane as a replacement for a while now but I've been struggling to find my perfect spec without having to spend a ton more than i sold my last one for.
I've had;
250 in Red - FF with Cup pack, Cloth Recaros, RS Monitor, Visibility Pack
250 in White - Cup spec, Climate Control, Cloth Recaros (Sold because too basic)
265 in Black - FF with Cup pack, Leather Recaros, Sat Nav, Reversing Camera, Visibility Pack
The 265 was basically everything you could get before the facelift model then allowing RS monitor and Sat Nav at the same time
Right now there just seems to be none for sale with any decent spec (Without spending 16k on a lovely LY Trophy with Ohlins) and I'm using the car less and less for fun nowadays and more just commuting through town, but the drive is still the most important for me.
So I have been looking at alternatives that I haven't already owned and the Fiesta ST3 has suddenly become a thought, would I be crazy going for one over a poorly specced Megane at this point?
ST3's start around 7-8k, there's a Yellow Megane 250 w/ Cup Pack and Leather Recaros 10 mins away for £8750 but worried it'll be a pig to sell on, been for sale a while by the looks of it.

You would not be crazy at all for going for a Fiesta ST. There is a reason why their owners love it and why every motoring journalist raves about it. They are brilliant cars.
I would say that a stock one will feel a little slow/restricted compared to a megane 250, so it is definitely worth a remap - there are lots of reliable tuners out there and you can get 230-250hp out of them with ease and not much money.
Given that so many of them have already been modified, there are lots of uprated ones on sale which already have mods done.

You wouldn't be mad but I'd still go for a Megane as it's still the better car but I could understand why you'd want to buy something different, they also come with the Recaro's as standard.
A leftfield option is one of these I seem to have supplied a fair few lately & the more I drive them the more I feel that they're an underrated car that's easily on par with a Cupra/Golf etc:
