hi simon.well now you have the car a while what do you think?.what colour did you go for?.have you had a porsche before or is this a first as it is with me.i collected mine [red] in march 05 and as yet have only covered 550 miles but have managed to hit the limiter in the first five [168mph in 6th]gears on several occasions [without breaking the law of course]its one very fast and easy to drive car as i think most modern porsche's are. what do you think?.these atoms appear to be great fun so i am actively looking at them at present and will soon decide if i am to place an order.I still need some coaxing from the owners so come on boys help me decide

I went for silver. Well done for getting guards red, I think it's the best colour, but didn't have the bottle for it.

It's my seventh 911, and the best all round car I have ever had by a considerable margin. I agree it's a quick car, I've only managed 145mph on an empty country road, but there was no drama at all. Comparing the car with my turbo II 3.6 it's performance is much more available, as you'd expect, but ultimately the turbo on boost would eat it for breakfast. I'd love to go out and max it early one morning on the local dual-carriageway, but the very real threat of a custodial sentence is an effective deterent for me.

Do you use PASM? I always use sport mode, but turn PASM off. The car understeers anyway, but with PASM on it's too nervous on 'real' roads. Apparently it's awesome on the track.

Petrol? Have you tried the car with standard unleaded? Mine feels like it's dropped 5% of it's power, and 10% of it's torque. I know in theory the management system should adapt, but it doesn't.

The only problem I have is the suspension squeeks embarrassingly (only started happening 2 weeks after delivery), at least that's what it sounds like. Can't hear it with the hi-fi on.

Overall it's superb, really glad I bought it.
