Just looking at a TT, wondered if anyone has any experience of the 245 ps “45” model?

The one I’m looking at is a 7 month old 45 S line DSG coupe front wheel drive.

I asked the salesman if it had the limited slip diff as in the Golf GtI performance pack but he didn’t know. He did however know all about gap insurance tyre insurance and dent insurance all for a bargain price of £1800! 🤦‍♂️

I will be trading in a diesel VRS so wondering if I’ll get away with a smaller cabin and boot (although no kids to transport so never really carry anyone in the back anyway)

I had a golf r for a few years so expecting mid 30s mpg, perhaps high 30s on a steady run?

I have the 'old' pre 45 mk3 2ltr quattro.

35mpg long term average, 40mpg+ on a run (according to the onboard comp)

If you don't carry passengers in the rear, and you won't, trust me, put the rear seats down and the boots huge!

Couple of other things, The door glass freezes in place on frosty morns and won't let you close the door until its defrosted.
Its also not the most watertight car i've ever owned. Mines at the dealer for their second attempt at curing a water ingress problem.

Looks and drives nice though.

Useful information, much appreciated.

I have now realised that although it’s occasional I will need larger rear seats so looking at the golf gti 245.

Sticks.

Just to note about gap insurance. Audi quoted me £750 for 3 years, Chris Knott @ £200.
