What's everyone using these days? Used to be with Vidahost who then became TSO Host, their plans seem very expensive compared to what's out there now? I only have 20GB space which they are telling me is nearly full, the actual websites are only using 3GB! 17GB on OS? Current spec :-

Total processors: 2

Processor #1
Vendor
GenuineIntel
Name
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2667 v3 @ 3.20GHz
Speed
3200.006 MHz
Cache
20480 KB

768 MB RAM
20GB HDD
CPanel
PHP 7.3
Easy Apache

Fully managed.

Just looking for a good host with more HDD space and a painless migration(!). Currently paying £48.96 a month inc. VAT.

Thanks smile

Is that ram right 768mb? seems like you could be getting 5-10x that for that sort of money

Seem expensive to me. Interested in what "Fully Managed" means. We provided mostly Windows hosts which are "Fully Managed" and that includes pretty much everything including. Updates, Application support, Application config, backups, User management, AV, Web filtering. Our standard config is 2 VCPUs, 2GB RAM, 70GB HD and I thing its around £25-30 PM.

Do you actually need a VPS? You might find good/premium quality shared hosting perfectly adequate for your needs in this respect, and enable you to save a bit of money as well. With the specs of that VPS, you might even get a performance boost by moving in that direction!

AFAIK we need a VPS as the sites need to be PCI compliant. Fully managed they tell me is they take care of backups. Updates and patches etc.

Looks like their Sapphire package offers the same as what we have now for less? Anyone on here use/used them? Thanks

We've moved one site over to Stablepoint. DNS is updating now. Hopefully no issues tomorrow. Support has been like the old Vidahost days!

Yup - breath of fresh air compared with TSOhost.

Just an update on this. Decided to go with Stablepoint as knew the guys behind it from a decade ago. I know a few on here are wary as they 'sold out". To be frank. It's like Vidahost all over again. Fast replies. Fast servers. VERY happy. Traffic and sales are up too. Coincidence naybe ir TSO Host servers were cranky.
