I went to Tesco, Sainsbury, Lidl, Costco and B&M today and the toilet paper was all sold out. They had lots of cheap kitchen roll though. There's going to be a lot of sore bottoms soon!
I looked online but the same story although Amazon are selling the Kirkland multi pack fot £80!!!. EBay is even worse with profiteering.
I don't care about brexit, the budget, migrants in Greece, Alex Salmond, Prince Harry or any of that crap. I just want something to wipe my arse with!
Rant over.

Can't see what all the fuss is about.

When I was a kid we used to use the Manchester Evening News cut into 6" squares, pushed over a 6" nail which was hammered into the inside of the outside loo door.

Snowflake generation.

The world has moved on. My laptop just isn't absorbent and smears it everywhere.

No idea either.

I though C19 was more of a lung/coughing problem rather that a st yourself inside out illness? Even when I have had a bad stomach illness the sts haven't lasted more than a coupe of days as I was of my food and it wasn't possible to st anymore and one bog roll was way more than enough to cope with it.

Bog roll has by far the smallest real estate per unit in a supermarket (down to it's physical size and low price), so it really is stocked in a just in time rota for deliveries. You probably need as little as 5% of shoppers to buy two lots for it to run out ahead of schedule.

Then people see the shelves empty and think next time I see some I'll buy two packs which empties the shelves even quicker. Then people see the shelves empty and...

A packet of 8 toilet rolls lasts my family about 6 weeks. No idea what people are doing with it all.

Shoppers have gone bonkers. Empty shelves in Asda - pasta, rice, eggs, painkillers, toilet rolls, handwash all completely gone.

Not bothered by the bog roll though, the advantages of a stoma! laugh

I can see bidets coming back into fashion. Always good for a laugh when the uninitiated leans over the basin and turns the tap on out of curiosity.
So much for the retailers rationing items. Bring back ration cards!

That's no use. Can't buy the Manchester Evening News in the Borders. Anyway it doesn't sound much better than the old government issue toilet paper. Far too slidy.

Aldi was the same when I did the weekly shop tonight - no bog roll, hand soap, mouthwash or any of the cheaper toothpaste brands. They did have some baby wipes though.
