Does the round sign relate to the next junction, not the one covered by the arrow on the road?

Go & take a photo from the side road facing towards the junction so we can see the signage in that road.
Then speak to the council to make them aware of any issue. If no-one bothers telling them then they may not even know.
Don't forget to post the pics so we can see.

The sign is normally placed on the nearside in advance of the junction. It’s is damaged and needs replacing. The centre should be hatched out IMHO.

It’s probably just another example of 10-years of Tory austerity blah, blah, blah. , or incompetence.

It's obviously been twisted round. For a single carriage road to have a dedicated turning right lane, it must have extremely busy periods. Trying to exit the road on the right across all this traffic has likely been deemed dangerous or has already caused accidents or long delays.

However, now it is facing the traffic on the main carriageway, is it an offence to turn right? Commonsense often doesn't apply to traffic issues, and if there is an accident from somebody turning right out of the side road, their defence is that there is no sign displayed preventing it!

Next junction is 200 metres up the road so I wouldn't have thought so.

The next road on the right has been blocked off maybe something to do with that and they just forgot to remove that sign?

Looks like that road was blocked off way before 2009

If it's no right turn for the side road shouldn't there be an advance warning on that road on the approach to the tee ?

That sign is so far ahead of the start of the filter lane, I would imagine a lot of drivers wouldn't even notice it until they were already committed to making the turn.
