Looking for a fun, fastish car for 10k but am 18

So I’ve been searching around for a a car around the 10k or £400 a month all in with insurance but as I’m 18 I have to factor insurance.

I’ve had a look at the new mk8 fiesta st and can stretch that far as I can get no bb for £1100

I’ve also been interested in the Audi S1 but I’ve seen no recommendations from people, but insurance is ok and is under the 6 second mark to 60, what are people’s thoughts on it though?
And any suggestions would be helpful, the 350z is way too much on insurance and for ref a octavia vrs (2014) is £2750, and the Renault Megane rs 2010 is over 3k
Any suggestions or cars I haven’t looked at?

Most insurance will be 3k for first car at that age. Suck it up until you’ve got some ncb.

Abarth 500/ grande punto? ( these generally arent owned by your age group so less of them have been threw a hedge so may be easier to insure than an ST/VXR

I’ve had a look at those, but the mk8 st seems to be cheaper at 1100 and the Audi s1 at 1700.
Haven’t really heard much about the s1 from anyone

I've had 2, they're great, but most classic car insurers have a minimum age limit of 21. Probably for a reason.....

You usually can't earn NCD on them either.

Get the ST it's a cracking car and if the insurance is only £1100 don't bother looking elsewhere.

Yeah that’s what it’s looking like, couldn’t believe the insurance when I saw it but it’s all right from ford insurance, so kind of makes sense

The Audi S1 seems to be a car no ones talking about so guessing it’s not worth it?

It's not the most inspiring drive & they're expensive so I'd look past it when it comes to junior hot hatch.
