AMG GT or BMW M5. Which one to pick

I have been considering cars around this price range for a while now but I cannot decide between these two cars.

The AMG GT is the base level model with the premium pack on. BMW M5 is the competition pack with a number of options.

I really love the look of the AMG GT while the M5 looks bland but the M5 is faster, more torque, more spacious and more comfortable to drive.

Which one out of the two would you pick and why?

I don't need a family car at the moment and most of my driving is done alone up and down the motorway

As above if you don't need the space each & everytime it's just a bit more special, otherwise I'd probably get an E63S.

Since you are comparing it to the M5, I guess you are talking about the AMG GT 4 door?

Anyway, AMG. Not even a discussion for me. The M5 is uglier than sin and feels generic in comparison. And who cares which one is faster? Are you shopping for a race car or something to enjoy on the road?

AMG GT all the way. Coupe or 4 doors.
