I'm on the fence about getting the interior bits in Forged Carbon Fiber. Got this wrap of Amazon to see if I like the look, as it can be reversed. If I still dig it in a few weeks, I'll get the interior parts made. I know there were a few others interested in forged carbon on the 6speedonline thread, hopefully there is a group buy in the near future. Cost for 2 rolls was about $30 USD shipped.

This is decent wrap material, but certainly not "high end". Pattern looks great, until you put it next to real forged carbon. Still the color tones are close so I can see how the car looks with most of the interior metal deleted. The chrome stick shift surround will be done in standard carbon fiber or satin black. Have to see which looks better. I think the chrome will be too bright.

While I was in there, I replaced the Nav gears with the kit from Rich Redpants . Super easy, and fantastic walk through video. Was able to keep up in real time, maybe a 10 minute job once the slope was out.

Door Sills

Had to completely disassemble the radio console to wrap it. Note to self...don't let all the control buttons fall out. They only go in one way. Literally took 20 minutes to get them in order again. Each button is different from all the others.

Bottom flat panel, wrapped.

Wrapped the chrome surround in regular carbon fiber.

Wrapping the accesory bin proved a challenge to get right. I ended up painting the sides black.

You have to remove all components on the back off to wrap right. Take pics and keep track of where everything goes. Had to completely disassemble the entire radio console to wrap it. Note to self...don't let all the control buttons fall out. They only go in one way. Literally took 20 minutes to get them in order again. Each button is different from all the others.

Radio console done.

And installed.

Hopefully, I'll get the door handles done tomorrow. Going to be challenging by the pull handle. Might have to use 2 pieces there, don't think it will stretch enough.

For what it’s worth I think the forged wrap looks pretty good but it clashes a bit with the gear surround. I’m also not a massive fan of your mats. Just too busy for me.

Thought of having my roof done with carbon fiber wrap. But was told it doesn’t come in gloss and looks like crap compared to the factory carbon fiber on the rest of the car.

I'll be interested to see the door handles, it's the one part I have considered wrapping on mine due to some light chipping where the previous owner has obviously let the seat belt buckle hit the arm when removing the belt.

I like that and the satin finish would be far better than my gloss black that shows not only the smallest fingerprint, but atmospheric dust just minutes after it has been cleaned.

As mentioned above, I am not overly keen on the different selector surround, maybe gloss black would be better to match the remaining black on the radio fascia for contrast, and the flooring is certainly an acquired taste.

Nice job though as you have done it yourself on a very favorable budget.

One door done. Area behind the pull was easy to fill in. The random pattern of forged makes cut ins disappear. Wouldn't have worked as well with standard CF.

lol. Not for everyone, though I have received a lot of compliments. Look far better in person.

I live in Florida near the beach. I fight sand daily. I needed more than just regular floor mats. Weather techs look far worse and cheap. This was one of the only other styles that went up the sides so far.

Doors we're not as bad as I thought. All 4 corners where you stretch the most, are hidden by leather panels when installed. Hides any small creases.

Going to try the metal parcel shelf front next. Think I have enough material left. Then maybe the roll bars.
