Anyone cancelled their order...?
Discussion
No offence but what difference does it make if someone else has, or has not cancelled?
Also, what relevance do the other things quoted have to buying a new car (unless you're liquidating assets to generate cash).
If you've been offered a rope to a new car, you have the funds, and want the car - go for it. I wouldn't be asking strangers on an internet forum for their opinions, lol.

You're new here it seems. This thread will turn into a conversation about values within a few days. I'm surprised there isn't a sub forum called 'Depreciation, values and should I?' Did I say I wanted advice? I can make up my own mind thank you. I'm just interested in whether there might be some cold feet. Also, what relevance do the other things quoted have to buying a new car (unless you're liquidating assets to generate cash).

Oh, and 'the other things quoted' might have a significant impact. Think about it.
For most people, getting infected with CV won't be a huge deal and it would help the economy if we all largely carried on as usual. But that would increase the risk for the vulnerable who are very unlikely to fare so well.
I have an order with an OP anyway. Not even got a scheduled build slot. Porsche can take its time as far as I'm concerned. But not TOO long obvs.

That's the most sensible thing written on an Internet with regards to the CV.Slippydiff said:

Don't stock brokers and City types own the odd Porsche or two.
...could be a few cancelling their orders or handing existing cars back to finance Co's over the next few months...ducks for cover
Do others’ misfortunes make you happy? You seem very active on these threads constantly trying to talk other peoples’ car values down at any opportunity despite, apparently, not being in the market yourself....could be a few cancelling their orders or handing existing cars back to finance Co's over the next few months...ducks for cover

I think there will be plenty of cancelled orders...on the GT4 thread I think someone picked up a car that was a cancelled order last week. I was in my OPC on Friday as a car was in for work....it was very, very quiet and will obviously be even quieter now. Sales guy said it had been quiet for a week. At the end of the day nobody needs a Porsche...it’s an aspirational purchase and there are good cars that will do a pretty decent job for a lot less money so I can see them struggling for a couple of months. Lots of people from every walk of life have got an uncertain financial situation right now.
