There seems to be little info about regarding the screen removal of PC monitor. A couple of small beasties have somehow managed to get behind the screen, so just wondering if they can be removed without wrecking the monitor. There seems to be a distinct lack of screws.

You got an insect behind the screen???
How the hell does that happen?
I didnt even think there was a gap there?
Pictures would really help this thread.

Yep, it's a not uncommon problem:

A picture was considered, but thought it would attract comments such as, " You're 'avin a larf mate!"

Thanks Mr Pointy. At least it's not just my monitor these beasties have called home. It seems it is possible to dismantle the screen, but it can be a little tricky.

I like the Suction Cup Trick in the Link. Pull the LCD wafer far enough away to get the beasty to drop

Fix Monitors and Touchscreens where I work.
The Front Bezel will pop away from the Rear Case. A case of making a gap and sliding something flat along the join.

This NOT the way to do it but gives you an idea of how it is held together

BE CAREFUL OF THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD. THE CAPACITORS CAN GIVE A NASTY BELT EVEN IF SWITCHED OFF FOR SOME TIME.

Thanks for the link. A priceless video. laugh Reassembly to achieve a working monitor, would be even better!

Looks like I may have to live with my dead bugs a little longer. They seem to be stuck to the screen, and refuse to drop down.
