Afternoon walk today ,I spotted what I thought was a small rat, but whereas a rat slinkd about , this one had rear legs like a rabbit. Could I have spotted a vole.

Rat like, but it didn't move like a rat. it sort of hopped using it's rear legs, rabbit fashioned.

Definitely not a vole, by the way - they have short back legs and dart about much like a mouse (but quicker, and shorter tails)
