So both myself and the wife are working from home as of today. We have just tried to login to Office 365 to use the on line versions of Word, Excel etc but those apps are not showing on our dashboards - all we can see is Outlook and things we can do with Outlook.

Any idea why? Will they only show if we have a OneDrive account or something?

Which Office 365 licence have you purchased?

Ah you need a licence? I wrongly assumed if you had a work login you could use those apps to a limited extent.

Well 'you' need a licence, but your work should have purchased one... although not all licences are equal

You need to login to o365 using your 'Work' credentials, which will be linked to a licence. That licence will determine what you have access to. If you do not have the applications you were expecting, you need to speak to the person responsible for your IT, or at least purchasing the licence that you are using (by logging in).

If you are using a personal Microsoft account, then you will not have access to the app's unless you have/are paying for a licence that includes them.

Your company will have an O365 Tennant, that may or may not let you login with your work credentials from any device, depending on security considerations.
