1.6tdi cylinder head skim
Discussion
I have a 1.6tdi leon, a few months back the timing jumped and car refused to start. Mechanic got it to run but advised could do with a head and camshafts as sounded bit rough was quoted £500 labour. And on his advice got a head he said would be good. Took it to him today and he said that he will need to skim it for £200.
Do the rates seem reasonable for both jobs, and do you think skimming is necessary.
TIA
